Gold-certified prog rockers Coheed And Cambria will embark on a North American tour celebrating their 2007 album “Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV, Volume Two: No World for Tomorrow” this year.
Dubbed the ‘Neverender: No World For A Waking Mind‘, that run will take place across two legs, one of which will occur this spring, while the second will pick up late this summer. Californian blackgaze outfit Deafheaven will be appearing as support throughout both legs of that trek.
Pre-sale tickets will be up tomorrow, January 25th at 10:00am local time. The public onsale will commence this Friday, January 27th at 10:00am local time. In addition to performing the aforementioned album in its entirety, Coheed And Cambria will also be playing fan favorites and songs from their latest album, “Vaxis II: A Window Of The Waking Mind“.
As an added bonus, a music video for the track “Beautiful Losers” from that latter effort has newly premiered online below, having been shot during the band’s touring in Germany. You can give it a watch below.
As for the song itself, an official press release stated, ‘The track itself depicts the plight of Vaxis II’s main characters Nea and Nostrand, two underdogs battling an evil empire and while the song’s title also serves as an allusion to Coheed And Cambria’s beginnings – frontman Claudio Sanchez and guitarist Travis Stever had briefly been in a band called Beautiful Loser, named after a Leonard Cohen novel.’
