Darkthrone To Release “Goatlord: Original” In February

Norwegian black metal band Darkthrone‘s initially shelved sophomore album “Goatlord” is set to be released in its original instrumental incarnation. While that record would eventually be released in 1996 with then newly added vocals, the original instrumental tracks had previously sat on the shelf for roughly four years.

This version of the album has been titled “Goatlord: Original” and features the original audio taken from multi-instrumentalist Fenriz‘s own tapes, having subsequently been transferred and mastered by Patrick Engel. Peaceville will be issuing this revised effort on physical formats on February 10th (February 24th digitally) with pre-orders available now at this location.
