Slipknot’s “The End, So Far” Debuts At #2 On The Billboard 200


Slipknot‘s seventh studio album “The End, So Far” has officially debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200. The Iowan masked metal phenomenon managed to shift 59,000 album-equivalent units in the first week of charting availability, 50,500 of which were attributed to album sales. Streaming-equivalent albums comprised 8,000 (aka 11 million streams of the album’s tracks), while track-equivalent album units comprised 500 of the sum.

According to, the only other rock album to shift more units in a first week this year was Swedish melodic metal outfit Ghost, whose latest album “Imperashifted 70,000 album-equivalent units. “The End, So Far” is Slipknot‘s sixth top ten album on the Billboard 200 charts.

Its predecessor, 2019’s “We Are Not Your Kind“, opened at #1 on the Billboard 200 with 118,000 album-equivalent units. As it currently stands, “The End, So Far” represents the conclusion of the band’s era on longtime label home Roadrunner Records.
