Breaking Benjamin Awarded New Multi-Platinum Single Certifications In The United States

It would seem that the members of chart-topping hard rock outfit Breaking Benjamin will have to make some more room on their respective walls. The outfit, who hail from Wilkes-Barre, PA, just notched up another three single certifications from the RIAA that reflect sales/streaming performance in the United States.

Among the latest wave of certifications dated August 24th, 2022 is the newly attained 2x multi-platinum status of the song “Breath“. Originally launched as the second single from their 2006 platinum-certified album “Phobia“, “Breath” had previously gone platinum back in November of 2015.

Next up is “I Will Not Bow“, which just got certified 3x multi-platinum. First emerging as the lead single from 2009’s platinum-certified “Dear Agony“, that song was last certified 2x multi-platinum in June of 2017.

Closing out this latest round of certifications for the band was the track “Angels Fall“. Serving as the second single from their gold-certified 2015 album “Dark Before Dawn“, that track has now officially hit platinum status, having last gone gold in May of 2017.

A platinum album/single in the United States represents 1,000,000 units, while gold signifies 500,000 units. Outside of traditional physical/digital sales, the certifications factor in digital streams/downloads with 10 permanent track downloads counting as 1 unit and 1500 on-demand audio/video streams from a particular album also counting as as a unit.

Breaking Benjamin are out on a co-headlining tour with Alice In Chains, which finds Bush as direct support. Several other openers are also appearing on that trek, see below for the dates:
