The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Måneskin were among the winners at this year’s ‘MTV Video Music Awards‘. The official ceremony for the awards took place tonight, August 28th at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. Funk rockers the Red Hot Chili Peppers had a memorable night, having been presented the ‘Global Icon’ Award and performing a medley of their tracks “Black Summer” and “Can’t Stop” (see that here).
They also took home the award for ‘Best Rock’ with their track “Black Summer“, while Måneskin‘s “I Wanna Be Your Slave” earned the ‘Best Alternative’ award. The categories with nominees relevant to hard rock fans included:
