Reunited Pantera Officially Announced For A Trio Of ‘Knotfest’ Shows

The Pantera reunion is officially a go with three concerts having just been announced for later this year. Thus far the revered multi-platinum groove metal outfit have signed on for a trio of Slipknot‘s ‘Knotfest‘ events and are billed simply as ‘Pantera‘.

Vocalist Phil Anselmo and bassist/vocalist Rex Brown are leading the charge of this reunion, with Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society, Ozzy Osbourne) taking over for the late “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott, while Anthrax‘s Charlie Benante will be behind the drum kit in place of the late Vinnie Paul Abbott. Per previous reports, Anselmo and Brown have received the blessing of the estates of the late Abbott brothers for this run.
