New Zealand-based progressive metalcore quintet Crooked Royals will be releasing their debut album “Quarter Life Daydream” on October 21st. The group have signed with Periphery‘s own 3DOT Recordings for the release of that opus. Below you can indulge in a music video for the single “Glass Hands“, the visuals for which were co-directed by Sam Askew and Francis Wheeler.
Christian Carstensen, who oversees the clean vocal duties in the band, commented of the track:
“The song is about a person who wants to believe in something so hard that they’ll do anything for it. We want listeners to be critical of this voice though.”
Co-vocalist Lee Mackley added:
“It’s similar to when people get news from a headline on social media. They’ll spout the headline, but they don’t read the actual article. They just believe in it without understanding it.”
