Brass Against‘s onstage antics at this past November’s ‘Welcome To Rockville‘ festival made for a deluge of headlines that saw them barred from performing at the festival and select venues and events going forward. During that now infamous set, the band’s vocalist Sophia Urista invited a fan onstage in order to urinate on him in front of the festival audience.
The NSFW incident occurred while the band were performing a live cover of Rage Against The Machine‘s “Wake Up“.
Several apologies from the band and even Urista herself would follow. Prior to that incident the group had been announced as support for multi-platinum progressive metal outfit Tool‘s just launched European/UK tour. Despite the controversy surrounding Urista‘s actions, Tool opted to keep the band on the bill for that trek, but not without poking a bit of fun at Urista.
In a post Urista herself shared from this past Saturday’s (April 23rd) opening show of that trek in Copenhagen, Denmark, a ‘No Pee Zone’ sign can be seen affixed to the stage. It reads:
“NO PEE ZONE
No Urine Is To Be Deposited, Placed, Distributed, Sprinkled, Poured And/or Spread In This Immediate Area”
