Come To Grief Debut New Track “Life’s Curse” Featuring Converge’s Jacob Bannon

Sludge/doom band Come To Grief have launched their new single “Life’s Curse” online via Decibel. The track finds Converge, etc. vocalist Jacob Bannon guesting and is taken from Come To Grief‘s full-length debut album “When The World Dies“, due out May 20th on Translation Loss Records. Bannon will also appear on the album track “Bludgeon The Soul“.

When The World Dies” was recorded with Converge‘s Kurt Ballou at his GodCity Studio in Salem, MA and is available to pre-order here. Speaking of this newly shared single, guitarist/vocalist Terry Savastano offered:

“Having Jacob sing vocals was a really big deal. I’m super grateful for it. We go back a long way, actually. He, myself, Chuck [Conlon, Come To Grief drummer] and some of the Converge guys come from the same area north of Boston called the Merrimack Valley.

He had my first band’s [Afterbirth] demo very early on – we’re talking 1988! We were recording with Kurt Ballou so I thought it would be awesome and kinda appropriate if he could contribute vocals. He’s such an emotional singer I thought it would go perfect with Jonathan‘s [Herbert, Come To Grief vocalist/guitarist] roar, and I was right! ‘Life’s Curse‘ is a pretty emotional song already; he just added a whole lot more.”
