Watch Cave In Play Early Favorites & Unreleased New Material During Pro-Shot December 2021 Cambridge, MA Set

This past December saw spacey post-hardcore band Cave In perform live at The Sinclair in Cambridge, MA as part of a brief batch of dates. Hate5six were on hand to document that show and have newly released the footage of it to the public.

The setlist for that night saw the band run through a variety of early favorites and even some as-yet unreleased material in the form of their new track “Blinded“. The latter is expected to appear on the band’s already completed new studio album “Heavy Pendulum“, which will be released through Relapse later this year.

That record will once again find the group paying tribute to their late bassist/vocalist Caleb Scofield, having used his lyrical ideas on the song “Amaranthine” and penning the track “New Reality” about him, while also incorporating one of his riff ideas into it. Since Scofield‘s tragic passing in a car accident in 2018, the band have recruited Nate Newton of Converge, etc. fame to take his place.

The setlist for this featured live performance runs as follows:

Off To Ruin
Dark Driving
Controlled Mayhem Then Erupts
Terminal Deity
The End Of Our Rope Is A Noose
Segue 1
Halo Of Flies
Bottom Feeder
Big Riff
Sing My Loves
