Kid Rock Vows To Not Play Any Venues Enforcing COVID-19 Mandates On Upcoming U.S. Tour

While rap-rock/country hybrid artist Kid Rock‘s latest round of singles have notched him up some chart success, they’ve also generated their fair share of intended controversy. One of those new tracks, the unabashedly political “We The People“, found Rock taking on the current U.S. President Joe Biden and his Chief Medical Advisor Anthony Fauci, big tech, mainstream media and more.

Among the verses featured in that song are:

“We the people in all we do
Reserve the right to scream “Fuck you”
(Hey-yeah) ow
(Hey-yeah) huh
“Wear your mask, take your pills”
Now a whole generation’s mentally ill
(Hey-yeah) man, fuck Fauci
(Hey-yeah)

But COVID’s near, it’s coming to town
We gotta act quick, shut our borders down
Joe Biden does, the media embraces
Big Don does it and they call him racist

As it turns out, Rock will be sticking to his guns in regards to the convictions he expressed in that track. In a newly posted video via his Facebook (see below,) Rock revealed that his upcoming ‘Bad Reputation Tour‘ will not be playing any venues enforcing stringent COVID-19 mandates. He stated of that:

“There’s been a lot of talk about vaccine mandates and venues, people saying ‘I’m not going to that venue ’cause there’s a vaccine mandate’ and this, that and the other. Trust me. We’ve done all our research on this and the consensus says that all this is gonna be done—if there are any of these venues, I’m not aware of any, but if there are any—they’re gonna be gone by the time we get to your city.

If they’re not, trust me, you don’t have to worry, you’re going to be getting your money back, because I won’t be showing up, either. If you think I’m going to sit out there and say ‘don’t tell me how to live’, or ‘We The People‘, while people are holding up their fucking vaccine cards and wearing masks, that shit ain’t happening.

It’s actually kind of unfortunate, we actually scratched Buffalo, NY off the list because of that and Toronto, Canada and several other cities we were looking at. Because you know, I’m not one way or the other, but I don’t want to deal with that shit either and I know that you don’t. By the way, there ya go liberal media, there’s your clickbait for tomorrow. Fuck with me. ‘Kid Rock said this about mandates, he’s not showing up…’ Fuck ya’ll.”

Later in the video, Rock addressed the success of “We The People” and the two other new singles he released this week (“We The People” recently topped the iTunes Top 200 tracks chart,) stating:

“I’m glad you’re digging  [my new songs.] I can’t say that I’m too upset either, ’cause it’s got all the haters panties in a bunch too. [Let’s] see what they try to cancel me for—can’t cancel me for now. I’m unfucking cancellable, suck on that.”

While Rock is doubling down on his anti-COVID-19 mandate stance, he remains a bit lax on his contempt for leading social media platforms. Despite Rock railing against big tech in “We The People“, offering a verse that included the line “Fuck Facebook, fuck Twitter too And the mainstream media, fuck you too,’ he continues to employ the platforms to promote his music and upcoming activities.

In addition to this video, earlier this week he stated via Twitter that former U.S. President Donald Trump recently congratulated him on the success of “We The People.
