Abysmal Dawn have released a stream of a newly re-recorded version of their song “Blacken The Sky“—a song which originally appeared on their 2006 debut album “From Ashes“. Speaking of why they opted to revisit this particular track, the band’s vocalist/guitarist Charles Elliot offered:

“When it came time to record this EP we started discussing re-recording an older track. After a bit of back and forth, we all ended up voting for ‘Blacken The Sky.’ That was actually the first song I ever wrote for Abysmal Dawn, and it seemed sort of fitting to update it a little for a new era. Enjoy!”

The EP he mentioned above is the band’s new outing “Nightmare Frontier“, which will be out on February 04th via Season Of Mist. The group are booked to head out in support of that next month as direct support to Obscura on a North American tour.
