Tool Drummer Danny Carey Due In Court In January Over Recent Misdemeanor Assault Charge


Tool drummer Danny Carey is scheduled to appear in court on January 12th in relation to the confrontation he had within a Kansas City, MO airport this past weekend. Carey was arrested this past Sunday, December 12th after allegedly having an altercation with a security employee at the airport.

Backing up TMZ‘s original report on the matter, have obtained the citation issued by the Kansas City Airport Police , which states that Carey allegedly used a homophobic slur amid the incident. The citation stated of that:

“[Carey] did intentionally cause and unlawful, offensive contact upon [redacted] by yelling at the complaintant ‘you’re a f—ing f—-t repeatedly and jabbed the complainant in the chest repeatedly.”

Video footage of Carey‘s subsequent arrest on the matter surfaced online a day later and can be found at TMZ. He was charged and booked with misdemeanor assault and released shortly after. Billboard reached out to the Tool camp for comment, but they are said to have declined.
