Hear Converge, Chelsea Wolfe, Stephen Brodsky & More On New ‘Bloodmoon’ Track “Coil”

Coil” has arrived online as the second advance track to be shared from Converge‘s upcoming “Bloodmoon: I” album. That record finds Converge teamed with Chelsea Wolfe and her multi-instrumentalist bandmate Ben Chisholm alongside Stephen Brodsky of Cave In, Mutoid Man, etc. fame.

The aforementioned parties began the Bloodmoon project back in 2016 for a live performance at the annual ‘Roadburn Festival‘ in Tilburg, NET. This first album from the project is headed for a November 19th release with vinyl to follow on June 24th.

Converge vocalist Jacob Bannon commented of the track:

“‘Coil‘ turned out to be one of my favorite songs I’ve ever been a part of. There is an infectious slow build that ends up becoming theatrical in tone. Lyrically it was a true collaboration, with all of us expanding on each other’s ideas as they came to be. I believe Chelsea’s vocal was the starting point in that for this one. Kurt really pushed vocal harmonies to a new level as well. Encouraging many of Steve’s ideas while we were in the studio tracking together. This one really has everyone of us firing on all cylinders creatively.”
