The Foo Fighters‘ upcoming induction into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame will be overseen by some literal rock royalty. Sir Paul McCartney has been tasked with the honors of inducting the band into the hall, with the ceremony set to take place October 30th at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, OH.

Todd Rundgren
Tina Turner
Several other artists will receive the ‘Musical Excellence Award’ this year, including the late Ozzy Osbourne guitar great Randy Rhoads, rapper/actor LL Cool J and the late soul, R&B, etc. keyboardist Billy Preston.
The ‘Early Influence Award’ will be handed out to Kraftwerk‘. American delta blues musician Charley Patton and soul/jazz poet Gil Scott-Heron will both posthumously receive that award as well. Clarence Avant, founder of Sussex Records, will receive the ‘Ahmet Ertegun Award’.
