Kanye West‘s new album “DONDA” officially saw a release yesterday, August 29th. Although initially unavailable to play, allegedly due to label issues, the song “Jail pt 2” has since been made available. It features both Marilyn Manson and DaBaby. Manson was previously listed as having a writing credit on the track “Jail“.
On “Jail pt 2” Manson is said to briefly lend his voice to the actual chorus of the song. Yesterday shortly after the release of “DONDA“, West took to his Instagram to offer:
“UNIVERSAL PUT MY ALBUM OUT WITHOUT MY APPROVAL AND THEY BLOCKED JAIL 2 FROM BEING ON THE ALBUM.”
The track in question remains controversial for its inclusion of both Manson, who is currently facing multiple lawsuits from several different women for claims ranging from rape and sexual assault to grooming and human trafficking. DaBaby‘s appearance is also controversial, as he was booted from several major festival appearances after making comments widely seen as homophobic while onstage earlier this year.
This past Thursday, August 26th Manson and DaBaby appeared alongside West during his latest “DONDA” listening event.
