Pearl Jam Release Dolby Atmos & Sony 360 Mixes Of “Ten” & “No Code”

Pearl Jam have digitally released newly re-mixed versions of their 13x multi-platinum debut album “Ten” and their platinum-certified 1996 album “No Code” in honor of their respective 30th and 25th anniversaries. Producer/engineer Josh Evans oversaw the new mixes for both of the releases, which have been completed in leading surround sound formats, Dolby Atmos and Sony 360.

Evans commented of the new mixes:

“These two albums sound amazing in the immersive format. For ‘Ten‘, the goal was to create the best version of the record, bigger, wider, and higher fidelity; now, it actually sounds as great coming out of your speakers as it does in your memory of hearing it the first time. Twenty-five years ahead of its time, ‘No Code‘ almost sounds like it was intended to be an immersive album; experimental layers, nuance, and raw aggression are all amplified and expanded in a simultaneously bigger and more intimate experience.”

In other news, the band will be streaming a 2014 live show they played for “No Code” in Moline, IL for free tonight starting at 05:00pm PDT / 08:00pm EDT. You can watch it here through to Monday August 30th at 11:59pm PDT.

New live compilation albums in the band’s ‘Deep‘ series for both of these records also saw a release this week and can be heard on leading digital service providers.
