While She Sleeps continue to put their money where their mouth is when it comes to shining a light on the harsh realities working class musicians face in the music industry. Having previously released free merch designs and sobering print ads, they have now sacrificed the chart eligibility of their newly released album “Sleeps Society” in their native UK.
Traditionally an accredited distributor is utilized to report the sales data to charting organizations. Instead of going that route, the band employed their road crew for the independent distribution of the physical copies of “Sleeps Society“. While that decision made their new album ineligible to be counted on the charts, it still appears to be performing quite well internally.
