Following word last month that their track “Blow Me Away“, which originally appeared on the 2004 ‘Halo 2‘ video game soundtrack, had been officially certified gold, comes the announcement of Breaking Benjamin having landed another sales award in the United States.
Their single “The Diary Of Jane“, from their platinum selling 2006 album “Phobia” has newly been certified 4x multi-platinum by the RIAA. It previously went 3x multi-platinum in September of 2019.
“The Diary Of Jane” stands as the band’s most popular single, with over 306,509,000 streams on Spotify and the below official upload of the video on YouTube having notched over 179,357,000 views.
A platinum album in the United States represents 1,000,000 units, while gold signifies 500,000 units. Outside of traditional physical/digital sales, the certifications factor in digital streams/downloads with 10 permanent track downloads counting as 1 unit and 1500 on-demand audio/video streams from a particular album also counting as as a unit.
