Original Story::

This past May Emmure launched an official Patreon fan club. The venture followed a similar one previously launched by the band’s frontman Frankie Palmeri via PayPal in November of 2019. That campaign of sorts came under fire for a lack of accountability should things have turned sour.

This past May, Palmeri said in part of the plans he had for the Patreon:

“This engagement, your subscription, will give you access to a ton of different things, exclusive merchandise, fan perks, opportunities to dive even deeper in to the discography, lyrics, music, everything.”

Now some six months later, the band’s Patreon has been deactivated, seemingly without warning. Lambgoat have received word from at least one disgruntled contributor who had been signed up to that campaign, alleging that that the top tier campaign resulted in ‘two video playthroughs and several poems’ penned by Palmeri. While the Patreon’s shutdown doesn’t appear to have been addressed, September 18th, saw Palmeri take to the band’s social media to post the following update:

“Hello, everyone.

Want to apologize things have been pretty stale here. Personally, I have been in limbo with my health and coping with the over all existential stress that is now our modern world. It’s been hard to find the balance and energy sometimes.

We are in the process of turning that around and getting back to making content for you guys to enjoy. That includes new merchandise, new music, new everything.

Hope this post finds you all in time. Thank you for your patience and support. Take care of yourselves.
