The Smashing Pumpkins will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of their 10x multi-platinum album “Melon Collie And The Infinite Sadness” this year—though not in the way they had originally intended thanks to COVID-19 concerns. First up is a live Q&A with the band’s Billy Corgan and Jimmy Chamberlain. It will be moderated by Daniel P. Carter. It’s set to be held tomorrow, October 23rd at 10:00am PDT / 01:00 PM EDT with advance registration available at this location.

Also in the works is a world arena tour in celebration of the album, which will take place next year with further details still to come. Additionally, the group have also confirmed that they are working on a new album which serves as a conceptual sequel to “Melon Collie And The Infinite Sadness” and “Machina“. A late 2021 release date is expected for that third outing in the trilogy.

The Smashing Pumpkins‘ new double album “CYR” is presently scheduled for a November 27th release on Sumerian Records.
