Powerman 5000 Stream Newly Re-Recorded Version Of “When Worlds Collide”

Powerman 5000 have digitally released their re-recorded version of their hit single “When Worlds Collide“, which originally appeared on their platinum selling 1999 album “Tonight The Stars Revolt!“. The band revisited the track in the studio this year and included it as a bonus track with the CD edition of their latest album, “The Noble Rot“.

Frontman Spider One commented of the re-recording:

“Re-recording ‘When Worlds Collide‘ was like jumping into a time machine. We play that song live every night on tour but I hadn’t actually listened to the recorded version in a long time. So, when it came time to tackle the re-record, it was a weird process of trying to emulate myself. Which all these years later seemed like a stranger.”
