Recording sessions for The Crown‘s new studio album have begun at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden. Presumably the band and Fredrik Nordstrom (At The Gates, Architects) will once again be handling the production duties, though that has yet to be publicly stated. They last teamed with Nordstrom on their latest full-length release, 2018’s “Cobra Speed Venom“. For now, the band’s bassist Magnus Olsfelt commented:
“As it is known a sequel should follow up the themes of the original but being more violent and brutal, more of everything. This also mark album No. 10 as well as the 30th Anniversary of The Crown. It all aligns to be a defining and iconic album of our career. Expect no mercy!”
