The annual ‘Sturgis Rally‘ kicked off last weekend in Sturgis, SD. An estimated 250,000 are expected to make the trek to attend the rally, which has largely been taking place without any mandatory social distancing and mask guidelines in place. Instead, prior to the event, the Sturgis city council voted to institute number of PPE guidelines for staff, business owners and vendors, while also modifying several of the planned events.
Among the festivities are concerts from the likes of Smash Mouth, Trapt, Adelita’s Way, Buckcherry, Drowning Pool, Lit, Quiet Riot, Saving Abel, Night Ranger. Trapt performed last night (August 09th) with an initial photo from the show generating reports on their alleged inability to draw a crowd. The band have since disputed those reports on Twitter, see below:
