Original Story:
According to the The New York Hardcore Chronicles Page, ex-Misfits drummer Joey Image (born Joey Poole) has passed away at the age of 63 following a battle with liver cancer. Image performed on the band’s “Horror Business” EP and “Night Of The Living Dead” single before departing the band at the end of 1979. He would later go on to play with a number of bands, including his Joey Image Trio. He last shared the stage with the Misfits back in 2000.
Image had been battling the aforementioned disease across the past several years, as was chronicled on his GoFundMe.
