Live Nation, AEG, Etc. Advise Artists To Postpone All March Touring

North America’s largest concert promoters, Live Nation and AEG, have joined forces in a bid to curb the spread of the Coronavirus. To that end they have advised their collective artists to return home and postpone all planned touring through to at least the end of March.

Executives from Creative Artists Agency, William Morris Endeavor, Paradigm and United Talent Agency have also endorsed the plan, which is being implemented in a bid to help safeguard artists, fans and venue staff.

A joint statement issued by the aforementioned collective on the matter reads:

“The world’s leading forces in live entertainment have come together to form a global task force to drive strategic support and unified direction ensuring precautionary efforts and ongoing protocol are in the best interest of artists, fans, staff, and the global community. At this time, we collectively recommend large scale events through the end of March be postponed. We continue to support that small-scale events follow guidance set by their local government officials. We feel fortunate to have the flexibility to reschedule concerts, festivals, and live events as needed, and look forward to connecting fans with all their favorite artists and live entertainment soon.”

The companies intend to revisit their decision in April with hopes to have touring resume in May or June. In addition to tours from some of the biggest artists currently on the planet, the aforementioned companies also represent tours from the likes of Tool, Kiss, Against Me!, Third Eye Blind and more.
