Hear Ozzy Osbourne And Post Malone Team Up On “It’s A Raid”

With tomorrow’s (February 21st) release date of his twelfth studio album “Ordinary Man” looming, Ozzy Osbourne has launched the below stream of his newest collaboration with Post Malone, “It’s A Raid“. That song will appear on Osbourne‘s aforementioned new album.

The pairing follows Ozzy‘s guest appearance on “Take What You Want” from Post Malone‘s latest album “Hollywood’s Bleeding“. That collab led him to working with Malone‘s producer Andrew Watt extensively on “Ordinary Man“.

As for the origins of this latest song’s lyrics, they stem from all the way back in 1972 when Black Sabbath were recording their album “Vol. 4” near Bel Air, CA. Osbourne himself relayed the tale during a recent SiriusXM listening event. According to him, he pressed a button he assumed was for the air conditioning, but in fact turned out to be a an alarm, which led to 4 to 5 police arriving at the house.

Being the early 70s, the band had various piles of cocaine and weed out on the table at the time. Instead of flushing the drugs, a panicked Osbourne assumed it was a raid and snorted as much of the cocaine as he could while hiding in the bathroom, claiming to have not slept for the next four days as a result. You can see him recall the tale below:

Osbourne recently postponed his spring/summer North American tour with Marilyn Manson as he will instead head to Switzerland in April to receive treatment for his various health issues. He hopes to return to the road later this year on the below run with Judas Priest:
