Ozzy Osbourne Cancels 2020 North American Tour

Ozzy Osbourne‘s planned North American touring this year with Marilyn Manson has been cancelled as Osbourne requires more time to get a handle on his health issues. The tour was previously rescheduled when Osbourne injured himself in a fall early last year, dislodging several steel rods previously inserted into him from a prior surgery.

The surgical procedures that followed in the wake of his fall left him with nerve damage and some other complications which he continues to recover from. Osbourne also continues to get a handle on PRKN 2, a form of Parkinson’s disease which he was diagnosed with in 2003, but only publicly revealed earlier this year.

As his wife Sharon Osbourne stated back in January, they will be traveling to Switzerland in April to seek a specialized treatment not offered in the United States to help address Ozzy‘s symptoms.

The below statement was released today, February 17th, regarding this tour cancellation:

OZZY’s 2020 North American “NO MORE TOURS 2” has unfortunately been cancelled to allow OSBOURNE to continue to recover from various health issues he has faced over the past year. This decision was made to accommodate fans who’ve been holding tickets for rescheduled shows and have been asked to change plans, some multiple times.

Following promotional obligations for his new ORDINARY MAN album (out February 21), OSBOURNE will head to Europe for additional treatments.

“I’m so thankful that everyone has been patient because I’ve had a shit year,” OSBOURNE said. “Unfortunately, I won’t be able to get to Switzerland for treatment until April and the treatment takes six-eight weeks.

“I don’t want to start a tour and then cancel shows at the last minute, as it’s just not fair to the fans. I’d rather they get a refund now and when I do the North American tour down the road, everyone who bought a ticket for these shows will be the first ones in line to purchase tickets at that time.”

Refunds are available at the original point of purchase. All refunds, including fees, will be returned directly to the credit card used. Additionally, ticketholders who purchased “No More Tours 2” tickets will have first access to tickets when the next tour is announced.”

The cancelled tour was scheduled to run from May 27th to July 31st. Osbourne will be releasing his new studio album “Ordinary Man” this Friday, February 21st. His current tour plans include the below rescheduled run with Judas Priest:
