Mötley Crüe's Vince Neil

Mötley Crüe Frontman Vince Neil’s Awkward Paid Video Birthday Greeting To Fan Goes Viral

Mötley Crüe‘s upcoming reunion tour this summer didn’t just gain attention for pissing off the fans who shelled out big bucks to catch them on their 2015 farewell tour. There was also some legitimate concerns about the abilities of some of the group when it comes to delivering a proper live performance.

Chief among those were the seemingly lackluster effort and increasing weight gain of the band’s frontman Vince Neil. The 58-year-old hadn’t exactly been wowing audiences during the end of the band’s farewell run, putting on some hilariously incoherent performances. For similar reasons, an undated video purchased by a fan via the video service Cameo has once again seen the glam metal star go viral.

Said fan claims to have paid Neil $400 dollars via the aforementioned service in exchange for a video of Neil wishing his brother a happy 40th birthday. The below text is what they claim to have provided Neil with:

‘Happy Birthday to Derek from Christian, Mom, Tanya, Ethan and Blake. Shout at the devil to start off this new decade and take the opportunity to kickstart your auto search and sales!! Listen to the Dr. and feelgood about the big 4-0 in 2020.’

However, the below awkward video is what they received in return from Neil. Neil‘s capabilities have been enough of a concern that the band’s manager Allen Kovac publicly commented on the matter this past December, revealing the band had been working with trainers and nutritionists. At the time he stated, “Let’s see what Vince sings like and looks like when the tour goes out.”

The band’s return to the road will take place as part of ‘The Stadium Tour‘, which has already seen a record amount of tickets sold. Def Leppard, Poison, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts and Tuk Smith & The Restless Hearts will open that run, dates for which can be found below:
