Hardcore, punk and emo label Victory Records has officially been acquired by Concord. Though terms of the deal were not publicly revealed, Billboard.com estimate the deal ranged from $27 million to $34 million. Billboard further speculate that the label had somewhere between $4.5 million-$5 million in yearly revenue.

As part of the acquisition, Concord have picked up the rights to the label’s catalog, including the masters to 4,500 recordings and 3,500 compositions. Some of the label’s more commercially successful offerings include recordings from A Day To Remember, Taking Back Sunday, Thursday and more. Concord have also picked up Victory‘s name and logo trademarks as well as the label’s Another Victory publishing arm and their active roster. Victory Records founder Tony Brummel commented of the acquisition:

Concord has a great team, infrastructure and the financial backing and support to do great things with the music and entertainment assets that they represent. Victory and Another Victory‘s great catalog of music and songs will be in caring and fantastic hands going forward. We’ve had a great run and with Concord it will only continue.”

While Brummel and his 30-person staff remain under his employ, they will be instead be transitioning to his other businesses, including his merch company, real estate and other ventures. They’ll also be focused on transitioning the catalog over to Concord‘s platforms over the coming months. Those remaining with Brummel will be doing so under a different company name with Brummel commenting “My team at Victory will be remaining intact as we embark, going forward, on our new and existing business journeys.”

Concord‘s chief business development officer Steve Salm commented that the company will soon be engaging in conversations with Victory Records‘ active roster. Salm also offered some potential insight into the companies future plans with the label’s assets, offering “to the extent that we put out new albums from existing artists, Fearless is the most likely home.”

Bands currently listed among Victory‘s active roster include the likes of Cro-Mags, Bayside, Jungle Rot, Reverend Horton Heat, For The Win, Dead Girls Academy and more.

Concord previously acquired Fearless Records back in 2015.
