Slipknot‘s new album “We Are Not Your Kind” has officially conquered the charts in Australia, notching up the band’s third #1 record in the country alongside “All Hope Is Gone” and “.5: The Gray Chapter“. The album also debuted at #1 in the UK and is projected to do so in the U.S. as well.
It’s worth noting that similar to other artists like Metallica, Slipknot included copies of the album in with select tickets for their ongoing ‘Knotfest Roadshow‘ tour with Volbeat, Gojira and Behemoth. As proven with other bands, the business tactic is highly effective at helping boost album sales and awareness.
