Slipknot have officially entered the UK charts at #1 with their latest album, “We Are Not Your Kind“. That record is their first to top the UK charts since 2001’s “Iowa“. “We Are Not Your Kind” sold 31,800 units in the UK during its initial week of availability, 25,500 of which were physical sales, while 5,000 were via downloads and 4,300 via streaming equivalent album sales.
The band’s frontman Corey Taylor took to Twitter to comment on the news, offering:
“Don’t speak your mind.” “Are you even relevant anymore?” “All you do is scream in a mask.” “You made this band too soft.”
#1 album in several countries & counting. Thank you to the Maggots worldwide.
And don’t listen to ANY voices but your OWN. It’s the only one that matters.— Panickin’ Skywalker (@CoreyTaylorRock) August 16, 2019
“We Are Not Your Kind” is also currently expected to top the U.S. charts with Hits Daily Double currently forecasting a healthy lead. Those charts will be revealed next week.
