Chad Gray On Mudvayne Ever Reuniting “HELLYEAH Is Where I Have To Be Right Now”

To no one’s surprise, Mudvayne frontman Chad Gray‘s priorities currently remain tied to HELLYEAH and their forthcoming new album, “Welcome Home“. That effort features the band’s final studio recordings with their late drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott with the group’s touring thus far in support of it serving as a celebration of Abbott‘s life. “Welcome Home” will be released on September 27th.

Asked recently by WRIF‘s ‘Meltdown’ about his status with Mudvayne and the group ever potentially coming back, Gray commented:

“We’re all good. We all talk. We’re cool. Whatever. It just is what it is, man. This [HELLYEAH] is where I have to be right now. This is so monumentally important to not only me personally, but to us as a band and I think to us as a metal community, a metal family, just to carry this on and fucking run it till the fucking wheels fall off.

I’m in. I’ll do it for as long as I can do it. I love my guys; I love my band; I love our fans. They’re not even fans — they’re family. And it’s worldwide. And it’s a fucking beautiful thing.”

His comments follow that of the band’s bassist Ryan Martinie, who recently stated that “only time will tell” if Mudvayne ever get back together.
