Bassist Ryan Martinie Unsure If Mudvayne Will Ever Reunite

Currently busying himself with a new album from Soften The Glare and unintentionally becoming the star of a meme, bassist Ryan Martinie doesn’t have any solid answers as to if and when Mudvayne will ever reunite. Speaking recently with MetalSucks on if there’s been any plans to return from hiatus, he stated:

“Man, there’s always talk. Which is a good thing. I’m fortunate enough that the thing that we made together still garners some kind of interest from our fans and for those people who may have wanted to see us and never got to. There’s still kind of the ‘man, are they gonna do it?’

I don’t have any answers for you on that front. Only that it’s fun when Mudvayne still is something that people enjoy. Like the brbr-DENG thing. Alright, cool, make some stuff up and make people laugh and share in it. But as far as it being a future item… I don’t know, only time can tell.”

Mudvayne went on hiatus back in 2010 with frontman Chad Gray and guitarist Greg Tribbett originally stepping aside to spend more time with HELLYEAH. Gray continues to front HELLYEAH to this day, while Tribbett exited the group in 2014.

Tribbett has since joined up with Mudvayne drummer Matthew McDonough in the band Audiotopsy. Meanwhile, McDonough also has another project called Cult Of Montu, who released their debut album late last year.
