High On Fire Play Show Without Drummer Des Kensel

While there’s no word on whether this is a permanent development or not, High On Fire‘s show in Portland, OR last night, May 14th, saw them hit the stage without drummer Des Kensel. Instead, Gaytheist drummer Nick Parks sat in, as seen in the fan-filmed footage below. Kensel himself co-founded the band alongside Matt Pike and since departed bassist George Rice.

Neither party appears to have commented on the matter publicly thus far. High On Fire will be back onstage tonight, May 15th, playing the Tonic Lounge in Portland, OR with Dark Castle and Villainous Temple opening.
