The Banner have put forward accusations against the band Buried Above Ground for allegedly lifting designs for their own merch. The Banner shared their accusations via social media, with some posts regarding that available below. One of The Banner‘s statements seems to conflict Buried Above Ground‘s own claims of innocence as well, which they made during a statement of their own following the accusations.
Yeah, so looks like Buried above ground also stole artwork by Tony Moore that was a cover to a book by him and @Remender

Buried Above Ground‘s response can be found below:
“It has come to our attention that some of the designs on our current tour merch was done by another artist / belongs to another band. We were obviously unaware of this, and would never have used it had we known it belonged to them. Never would we intentionally steal another band’s art work or use their logo knowing it was theirs. We had no idea it belonged to them, or clearly we wouldn’t have used them. They have a cool design, and it was likely made into a vector by someone, a fan, or put with some images somewhere that we used, and they had been made into some designs. Unintentionally.
Once we were notified of this, days ago, we immediately took down the designs from our sites, from our merch table, and contacted the band in hopes of ordering some designs from them to rectify. We would definitely like to apologize to them for the misuse of the designs, and have tried contacting them about commissioning some art directly from them. We hope to get some of their amazing artwork done, and hopefully put this misunderstanding to bed.
We know in these times of the Internet some people can’t wait to find faults in others, bring each other down, and spread as much negativity as possible, however, we def own up to the mistake, and have offered reasonable means to solve this issue with the parties involved. We apologize for the mistake and look forward to some new designs of their in the future. Again, we are sorry for the misuse, and will do whatever necessary to rectify. Thanks for reading.
