The Widow Of Late All That Remains Guitarist Oli Herbert Issues A Warning As One Of His Final Recordings Emerges Online

One of late All That Remains guitarist Oli Herbert‘s final studio recordings emerged online today (April 10th) in the form of a cover of the Eurythmics‘ “Here Comes The Rain Again“. Oli appeared on the track alongside Moroni Silva of A Dead Desire, who went on to finish the track following Herbert‘s death. Silva told MetalSucks of the cover:

Oli was a good friend and wanted to release the song at the start of the rain season, so it was released on the New Moon of the 5th of this month and dedicated to him.”

It would appear that the song was not authorized for a release legally however, as Oli‘s widow Elizabeth Herbert, took to her late husband’s Facebook page today to issue the following warning, presumably referring to this latest song:

“Hello everyone. This is Beth. I am aware that something was released that contained my husband’s work on it that was not finished before his death.

To be clear, if anything is to be released after Oli’s death and it isn’t All That Remains material, you need me, the executrix of the estate to sign off on it. Also, probate was not opened until this year so any arrangements after my husband‘s death for his material but before I was named executrix is unenforceable.”

Oli‘s death this past October was labeled suspicious by police and is being investigated by the State Police Eastern District Crime Squad. A report earlier this year revealed that Oli had signed a will that left Elizabeth as Sole Executor/Benefactor a week prior to his death. Oli was found dead in a pond nearby his Stafford Springs, CT home on October 16th, 2018 after his wife reported him missing.

His All That Remains bandmate, Phil Labonte, has refused to comment on the ongoing investigation but called Elizabeth a “garbage human being” during an interview this past February.
