David Hasselhoff Is Working On Some “Heavy Metal Songs” For His New Album

While primarily known as an actor in North America, David Hasselhoff of ‘Knight Rider‘ and ‘Baywatch‘ fame is a certified star in Germany and Austria with his singing career. Hasselhoff himself has confirmed that he’ll be dipping his toes into the metal genre on his new album, telling Deutsche Presse-Agentur that he has been working on “a couple of heavy metal songs” for the effort. He also further explained his choice to dip into the genre, stating “Why not? I do not have an album title yet, but it should read: ‘Everything is allowed’. I do everything. Because I can. Because I want to.”

Last fall it was revealed that Ministry‘s Al Jourgensen had been working on a remix of Hasselhoff‘s cover of Neil Diamond‘s “Sweet Caroline” for an upcoming album from Hasselhoff. As that song does not yet appear to have been released, it is presumably set for inclusion on this forthcoming record.
