Though Avenged Sevenfold cancelled their summer 2018 tour, citing issues with the vocal cords of the band’s frontman M. Shadows, the band don’t expect to return to the road later this year.

Thew news comes via rock radio host Lou Brutus, who summarized a recent text conversation he had with the band’s guitarist Zacky Vengance. Brutus revealed that the band are instead focusing on new music and new babies to come this year with plans to return to the road in 2020. You can read what he had to say below:

AVENGED SEVENFOLD NEWS! Was just texting with Zacky Vengeance and asked him about Avenged Sevenfold touring. He told me, "I don't think we will be doing any touring this year. Got some new babies on the way and are starting to get really focused on new material. I never deal in absolutes, but right now it's leaning heavily towards 2020." While I'm bummed about no touring for awhile, I'm very happy for their family additions and eventual new music.
