Revenge Season have found themselves removed from a planned tour with Old Wounds this month, dropped by their label and removed from this weekend’s ‘LDB Fest‘ in Louisville, KY and the upcoming ‘AURA Fest‘ in Savannah, GA.
The mass ousting came about after screenshots of conversations in which frontwoman Morgan Rutledge allegedly used racist language/memes surfaced online. Those conversations come from a group chat which the band’s former guitarist Dinky posted online in the below tweet:
When climbing the social ladder the only thing that matters is stepping on whomever it takes to get to the top. No matter how hypocritical and two-face you must be to get there. This is the real person you have all put on a pedestal. pic.twitter.com/0DUFRgcp4z

Also, don't let her fool you. I can go into detail about this situation and why I'm doing this. Make no mistake, SHE DID SAY THESE THINGS

Some have been quick to accuse Dinky of waging a vendetta after being fired from the group, having only leaked these alleged conversations after he was removed from the band. Rutledge for her part commented on social media that the comments were not made by her, stating:
“Good to see someone who you considered a close friend stab you in the back with false information. THIS never happened. I had my phone away from me and this was said in the group chat.”
As you can see below however, whether genuinely made by her or not, the leak of the alleged comments has had drastic consequences for the band:
