Though he doesn’t appear to have disclosed how he received the injury, Dance Gavin Dance frontman Tilian Pearson has confirmed that he has been performing with a concussion recently. The lingering effects of his injury saw him forced to sit out last night’s (November 30th) show in Milwaukee, WI on doctor’s orders. In turn the band performed instrumentally with the crowd helping out on vocals.
The group are currently out with Underoath, Crown The Empire and The Plot In You with the following dates remaining:
12/01 Cleveland, OH – Agora Theatre
12/02 Royal Oak, MI – Royal Oak Music Theatre
12/04 Pittsburgh, PA – Stage AE
12/05 New York, NY – PlayStation Theater
12/07 Huntington, NY – The Paramount
12/08 Worcester, MA – The Palladium
12/09 Philadelphia, PA – Electric Factory
12/11 Norfolk, VA – The NorVa
12/12 Charlotte, NC – The Fillmore
12/13 Atlanta, GA – Tabernacle
12/14 Tampa, FL – USF Sun Dome
I’ve been nursing a concussion, holding back on stage the last three shows. I think it makes me sing better. Not the concussion, but holding back the movement a little bit.

Unfortunately Tilian was unable to perform tonight as a precautionary measure due to a concussion he suffered earlier. This was recommended by a dr that he saw after still having symptoms. We’ll update when we have further info. The rest of DGD will perform tonight as scheduled.
