The Claypool Lennon Delirium, who unite Primus vocalist/bassist Les Claypool alongside Sean Lennon (The Ghost Of A Saber Tooth Tiger, etc.,) have announced a February 22nd release through ATO Records for their sophomore release, “South Of Reality“. That effort was self-produced and pre-orders for it have been launched here.
Recording sessions took place at Claypool‘s own Rancho Relaxo studio in Sonoma County, CA. A first single from the outing, titled “Blood And Rockets: Movement I, Saga Of Jack Parsons – Movement II, Too The Moon“, has been released below. Lennon revealed that he took inspiration from pioneering rocket scientist Jack Parsons—who also rose to a prominent role in the Aleister Crowley associated cult Ordo Templi Orientis—for the track.
The pair spoke with Rollingstone.com regarding the new album and will begin touring in support of it later this year on a brief headlining run that includes the following shows:
10/25-28 Placerville, CA – Hangtown Music Festival
12/28 San Diego, CA – The Osbervatory North Park
12/29 Santa ANA, CA – The Observatory
12/31 San Franscico, CA – The Fillmore
