A stream of the new Zao track “Hide From The Light” has been made available online. The track appears on a forthcoming new split with Yashira that will be digitally released on September 21st via Mind Over Matter with a 7″ pressing to arrive at a later date. Zao frontman Dan Weyandt said of this track in particular:
“‘Hide From The Light‘ is a reference to the light beaming out of our handheld electrical devices and that light’s ability to manipulate our thoughts and actions personally, as well as society as a whole, via digital social platforms.”

In other news, Zao have a new album planned for a mid-2019 release date with more details to come. You may not have to wait that long to hear even more new music from the band though as they previously teased two new releases still to come this year, with this aforementioned split being one of them.
Later this month Zao and Yashira will also head out on a tour that features The Atlas Moth as well. Dates for that run include:
