Next year’s edition of the annual ‘Roadburn Festival‘ just got bigger with a new wave of artists confirmed. Among them are Cave In, whose Stephen Brodsky and Adam McGrath performed a tribute set to their late bassist/vocalist Caleb Scofield at this past April’s edition of the festival. That performance will now be released through Roadburn Records on November 30th with proceeds to go towards the Caleb Scofield Memorial Fund. Scofield passed away in March of this year in a car accident.
Brodsky commented of the opportunity to return to the festival:
“Without question, it’s a high honor of artistic merit to perform at Roadburn. Members of Cave In have had the fortune of playing with other bands/projects in years past.
Seems only a matter of time that we’d do a proper set at one of the best festivals on the planet devoted to forward-thinking music. We hope you’ll join us for a celebratory sonic lift-off into Roadburn 2019.”
In related news, Old Man Gloom have also been booked for the festival. Scofield was also a member of Old Man Gloom and Cave In‘s Stephen Brodsky will be filling in for him during the band’s set.
In not as related news, Thou have been tapped as the 2019 ‘artist in residence’ and will perform four sets throughout the weekend, including a collaborative set, a covers set, an acoustic set and a “Magus” era set. Other additions to the festival include:
Daughters

Drab Majesty
Ulcerate
Imperial Triumphant
Mord’A’Stigmata
