The official details have now been revealed for Anthrax‘s upcoming 30th anniversary edition of their 1988 album “State Of Euphoria“. The set will be made available on October 05th in 2-CD deluxe edition, digital and 2-LP vinyl formats. The latter will be pressed on both standard black vinyl while a limited edition red and yellow vinyl pressing will also be made available. Pre-orders can be found here.
The band’s drummer Charlie Benante oversaw the project as well as the remastering job for the album itself. That remastered version of the album will appear on the first disc of the set along with b-sides and a live performance captured in London back in March of 1989.
The second disc of the set has been titled ‘Statements Of Euphoria (Charlie’s Archives)‘ and will feature various early demo recordings and such. Revised packaging and a new 20-page booklet are also included alongside new liner notes and more, which includes tributes from fans. Benante commented of the set:
“We recorded everything back then. We would sit in the rehearsal room with a little two-track machine record everything we did in rehearsal while we were putting the songs together.”
“‘State Of Euphoria‘ is the album that we always felt we never got to finish properly. We wished we had had a little more time to spend on it. But having revisited it while putting together this package, I really got to enjoy it again, it took me back to that time when everything was a whirlwind.”
