Original Story:
Members of Korn and their former manager have taken to social media to offer condolences to their the band’s frontman Jonathan Davis. Davis‘ estranged wife Deven Davis died at the age of 39 this past Friday, August 17th. Jonathan had filed for divorce from Deven back in 2016. The couple had two children together.
It was revealed that Jonathan had filed a domestic violence restraining order against Deven last week, seeking to bar her from contact with their children. In the documents filed to back that order, Jonathan alleged a troubled history of drug abuse and addiction issues suffered by Deven.
Sadly, according to a condolence sent out by the band’s former manager Jeff Kawtinetz, it would appear that an overdose was the cause of Deven‘s death. He commented via Twitter:
My thoughts and prayers go out to one of my closest friends and a truly great human who I love, Jonathan davis, on the death of his wife from an OD. I pray for his kids and family. I knew Deven and no one deserves to struggle w addiction and die. Too often, too much!
