Isis To Reunite As ‘Celestial’ At Upcoming Caleb Scofield Benefit Show With Cave In & More

Cave In have announced that they will perform a special show in tribute to their late bassist Caleb Scofield at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, CA on October 13th. Sweetening the pot is the surprising live return of Isis—or at least the band formerly known as Isis. Given the adoption of the band’s name by a terrorist group, the band will return under the moniker of “Celestial“, aka the title of their 2000 debut album.

That performance will find the band’s final lineup of Aaron Turner, Michael Gallagher, Jeff Caxide, Bryant Clifford Meyer and Aaron Harris back on stage together, marking their first show since 2010.

Pelican, Old Man Gloom and 27 will also be on the bill with 100% of the proceeds to towards Scofield‘s family. Tickets will go on sale this Thursday, June 14th, at 10am PST. Scofield tragically died in an automobile accident this past March, leaving behind a wife and two children. Family, friends and fans rallied behind them, raising nearly $119,000 to date for them via youcaring.com.

Tomorrow, June 13th, will see a similar celebration of Scofield‘s life with his former bandmates in Cave In and Old Man Gloom set to take to the stage for the first time since his passing. Converge and The Cancer Conspiracy will also be performing at that show, which will be held at the Royale in Boston, MA.
