Hear Ex-gODHEAD Frontman Jason Charles Miller Go Outlaw Country On “Hundred Pound Hammer”

In the years since he fronted gODHEAD, Jason Charles Miller has built himself a career as a song co-writer and voice actor, among other trades. He has also been pursuing a musical career as an outlaw country artist and will release his new album, “In The Wasteland“, on June 15th through Red Music/Sony. Matt Hyde (Slayer, Deftones) produced and mixed that effort, which finds him backed by drummer Kenny Aronoff (John Mellencamp, John Fogerty).

Among the guest performances set for the effort are Rickey Medlocke and Peter Keys of Lynyrd Skynyrd fame, King’s X frontman/bassist Doug Pinnick, Charlie Starr of Blackberry Smoke and more. Miller commented:

“For me, the defining thing about ‘In The Wasteland‘ is that it’s a culmination of my entire life. From the many different styles of music that have influenced me over the years, to the lyrics that are a mixture of observational storytelling and pure emotional ferocity – some songs are collaborations or even duets, and others were written alone in a darkened room.

If you’ve followed the journey of my career as an entertainer, you’ll hear every place I’ve been, and where I ended up today. I’ve released a lot of music in the last few years for a lot of various projects – other artists, video games, TV shows, musicals and films – but this is my first solo album in six years… you can bet I’ve got a lot to say!”
