Bad Wolves’ “Zombie” Cover Goes Gold In The United States

Though the RIAA have yet to publicly announce the certification, an official press release sent out today confirms that Bad Wolves‘ cover of The Cranberries‘ “Zombie” has gone gold in the United States, signifying 500,000 units. The news shouldn’t be too surprising given the cover’s meteoric rise in the wake of the passing of The Cranberries frontwoman Dolores O’Riordan, who passed away on the day she was due to track her parts on the band’s cover.

Bad Wolves have been donating proceeds from the track to her children as a result. The cover previously went gold in Canada and at press times sits at 19,688,696 million streams on Spotify, while the official music video has 55,583,077 views on YouTube and the official audio stream on YouTube sits at 6,206,381 views.

Today, May 11th, sees the release of the band’s debut album “Disobey“. The group have a number of tours lined up for the months to come, including the below run with Five Finger Death Punch, Breaking Benjamin, and Nothing More:
