Bad Wolves Score Gold Record With “Zombie” Cover

Though their debut album “Disobey” has yet to even hit stores (it will come out on May 11th,) Bad Wolves have already landed a gold record. Their cover of The Cranberries‘ “Zombie“, which managed to skyrocket to the very top of the iTunes charts, has gone gold in Canada. Gold status in Canada represents 40,000 units shifted.

The band’s cover of the track was originally intended to feature a cameo from The Cranberries frontwoman Dolores O’Riordan, though she passed away on the day she was due to enter the studio to track her parts. In turn, Bad Wolves have been donating a portion of the proceeds from the cover to her children.

Currently Bad Wolves have a debut EP titled “False Flags Volume One” in stores and with over 12 and a half million streams of “Zombie” on Spotify alone, it seems more awards are in the band’s future.
